"Hosts Sue and Dan Hamar treat you like you're actual guests in their home, a part-contemporary, part­antique inn with three rooms and multiple decks. It's set on the marsh grass fronting Wellfleet Harbor and Cape Cod Bay, along a quiet residential stretch of road near Power's Landing. The birds, the water, and the stunning bay views will probably be enough to keep you content in the shade of trees with a pair of binoculars. Rooms are welcoming, with flowered quilts and private decks, and the two upstairs beds grant vistas of the water without a lift of the head. The room in the antique portion of the home has a gas fireplace, a brick patio, and a grand claw-foot tub. The owners also have a full house for rent about a mile away; it comfortably accommodates two couples or a family of four and is rented weekly from May through October."

"Sue and Dan Hamar's house is perched on a bluff in an exclusive residential neighborhood overlooking Cape Cod Bay. Behind the house, a boardwalk path leads to a private bay beach. They also own, a two-bedroom cottage located about a mile away in the pines that is available by the week and offers, among other features, a galley kitchen, washer/dryer, and barbecue.The main house was built in 1830 but has been modernized and added on to over the years. The Nickerson Suite is in the old part of the house and has wide-board wood floors and a fireplace. The Chequessett and Billingsgate rooms are contemporary, as befits the addition completed in 1993. All rooms have sweeping bay views. There are beautiful gardens in front of the house, and in the back is a large deck where guests eat breakfast and can sunbathe during the day."

"Aunt Sukie is no longer with us, but her fine antique home is still the prettiest spot along the Wellfleet Bay shoreline. Actually, the home, built in 1830, was moved to this site in 1929, but seems to have settled in rather well. Aunt Sukie's Bayside B&B offers three stunning guest rooms, one a warm first-floor room in dark woods and antiques; the other two, on the second floor, have a contemporary cottage look, with light walls, bright linens, and bathroom skylights. These would be the rooms to rent for the best views; each has an ultra-private deck from which one may gain wide views over the marsh to the inn's private beach at the end of a boardwalk, constructed by innkeepers Sue and Dan Hamar (Sue is a relative of Aunt Sukie). The common sitting room's views are also stunning, and don't miss a stroll on a tiny brick path through Sue's outstanding garden at the front of the house. All guestrooms have a phone and small fridge, but no TV. Overflow guests can be accommodated at the inn's House in the Woods, about a mile away."
